Rocks would be okay for your front yard. Dirt, not so much. You'd need 80 percent of your yard to be covered with grass, rocks or other landscaping materials.

Minimum heating capabilities of 65 degrees? Is that for every room? What about in older houses where getting one room up to 65 degrees requires the rest of the house to be set at 80? What about unused rooms? What about the energy costs?
